This book was made to commemorate the Sweet Sixteen Birthday of this young lady. What a great gift for a mother to give her daughter.

l. Make A Family Recipe Book. Do you have  recipes  that have been passed down in the family ? Maybe your family loves to cook , so collect other family recipes and make a photobook of this collection. Add pictures of family and friends to go with each recipe. You might find a picture from thanksgiving showing the your traditional apple pie that was made from great-grandma’s recipe and then add a picture of great-grandma who is long gone but always remembered. This collection of recipes will be cherished by all family members and would make a great gift to give.

2. Make A Book Of A Family Reunion. This can be one of 2 types of photobooks. The first being a book leading up to the reunion, a collection of family photos that you have gathered from the family. This photobook can be given to each family member at the reunion. If you do an work on your family tree, this would be a wonderful opportunity to include it. What a great way for all to share and talk about. The second book could be a compilation of pictures taken at the reunion to be sent to all after the event. Include some journaling of interesting topics that we talked about at the reunion like remembering the time that……………

3. Kids Events or Family Events. Another great way to showcase your family is to make books throughout the year or even one yearly that chronicle the things your kids do like sports, ballet, art, or maybe things they do by the season. A book theme can be about holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas or a Family Vacation.  These are all times that should be remembered and relived in the future.

4. A photobook Through Mother’s Eyes or Dad’s Eyes. Make a book to be given to your children. Collect family pictures that have special meaning and scan memorabilia that will help tell your story. Maybe you want to give advice to your kids, or just let them know how much they are loved – whatever the reason this book is an important one. You can put into pictures and words all the things you think about but seldom say.

5.Make A Brag Book. Make a Brag Book about the new baby to be given to grandparents and if you are lucky to great-grandparents. Next time someone asks who is the family – you can pull out a mini  5 x 5 brag book of your kids, grandkids or even the family dog. A small brag book is a wonderful gift that means the world the your family.
